Puppies galore

More puppies than you can shake a stick at. You'll be relieved when they're all big enough to leave home and I actually blog about writing again. But that's a month way yet!

This is Berry's puppies at two weeks old. I had to crawl into the dog run on my stomach to get this shot so am pleased that they are now out in the orchard.

The remaining photos are all at three and a half weeks. Their little legs are still a bit wobbly but they can see and hear now. They share that kennel in the back ground with Berry and will eventually have the run of the orchard but at present they only venture a feet from base.

Dinner time! Their table manners are lacking somewhat.

And having finished what I provided they're back to pestering Berry for a feed. They can latch onto a teat while she is standing now so they are getting more and more demanding.

A little more news just to prove I do have a life beyond puppies. I have been working flat out on the little business venture I told you about a month or two back. Very time consuming but I am making good progress and will probably be revealing all within the next month.

Writing? Umm, well, you see ...

Ah, they grow up so fast. Doesn't look like mom's getting any rest at all.

Love the puppy pics, but now I'm curious as to what else you've been up to. Wait a month? Not easy.

They are so big already, and so cute! Oh, if only it weren't for the many miles between us, I would come and steal the grey one away.

Like Leah said, a months wait will not be easy.

Leah - Gorgeous, aren't they. They're running poor Berry off her feet now.

Reb - The grey one is one cute little girl. I shall miss them all when they start leaving home.

SQUEE!!!!

That's the sound I make when I am overwhelmed by sheer cuteness. The puppies are precious!

And I'm curious about your business venture! Very intriguing... I look forward to learning more. Best of luck with it!

Awww, adorable! The Bag Lady would love to have another dog...sigh. She is also jealous of the flowers and sunshine...we've had snow and freezing rain.
Waiting to hear more about the business venture!!

She's baaaack!

I faithfully checked in every day to see if you'd written something. You're missed!

Welcome back, we miss you when you're gone!

I, too, covet your puppies and would love to swim to New Zealand and swipe one. (Not big on flying, though I suppose it might be more practical). However, we have no wild pigs for puppies to chase here, and I don't think our cat would ever forgive us. So I guess they're safe--for now, anyway.

Great to have you back!

Thomma Lyn - I think the "cuteness" is starting to wear off for their mother. Their little claws are so sharp now and their teeth are starting to come through!

Bag Lady - I love those yellow flowers too. They grow like weeds and I have them popping up everywhere.

Marijke - And I shan't stay away for so long again. Promise!

Crabby - We don't have any cats at present although I'm sure some strays will turn up. The puppies father used to live very happily with three cats in his younger day.

Oh so sweet! I want to come over and play with them!

As someone who is taking a hiatus from her blog herself, I understand the not posting often thing. Take your time!

(Still selfishly I miss your web presence!)

I love being around a litter of puppies! A friend of mine has a dogsled kennel so its a regular thing and we get to help get them used to being handled.

I miss you in the blogosphere! But I appreciate that you want to take some time from the blogging (it is rather consuming isn't it).

Still, hope you are well and everything! And that the puppies are well too!
