That should be the Book Club Queens actually because there are TWO lovely ladies at Book Club Queen. And how come I know all about them is because they're going to review Ripples on the Lake AND interview me next month. Pretty neat, eh!
After the trauma of all those live radio interviews I'm really looking forward to this. I'm going to be able to make myself sound intelligent and artistic and not burble on in my usual fashion!
When I was in Hamilton (a nearby city) a week or two back I looked about a few book stores for Ripples and was disappointed to see that our "moment in the sun" is more or less over. In one shop, she was being displayed at ankle level! I kid you not. Unless you're were crawling along the aisle on your belly you could not see the book. Another shop I went into I was assured they did have Ripples - but they didn't know where!
So - another royalty cheque will come my way this month but I'm not expecting to come visit you all on the strength of it!
Still, I sold a story that will always be dear to me, we spent time in the NZ Bestseller List, I did a book tour and met other writers, I started blogging and met all you guys - if we've been replaced by other, newer, books, I can't begrudge some other writer their moment in the spotlight.
But it's so great to have Ripples being reviewed by the Book Club Queens. They've done reviews on ALL of the Harry Potter books so if you're into that, check them out at Book Club Queens. And if you want advise on how to start a book club, then these two ladies have all the answers.
I'm not sure if the Book Club Queens are paranormal adventure fans or not so I hope they enjoy the story, although personally I don't think of it as "paranormal".
I just wrote the story the way it all happened!

thanks for the BCQ link.
I need a bookclub in my life...somehow motherhood hath taken me WAY off the book discussion path!
MizFit
I'm so happy for you.
Ripples lives!
I know you'll do fine in the interview.
This is my third try this morning to leave a comment. Blogger has issues today.
Dawn - the Bag Lady has to admit, she is NOT a 'paranormal' book fan, so was a little hesitant about reading your book. Once she started it, though, she thoroughly enjoyed it, and would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! It was a terrific read.
Congrats on the interview and review. The Bag Lady knows you will come across as intelligent and witty, simply because you are!
Karen is in a book club. It's purpose is to spend two minutes talking about the book and the remaining time drinking margaritas and gossiping.
One of these days I'd like to write a book, but I imagine the process would be quite time consuming. Remember, I nap eighteen hours a day.

Mizfit - The Book Club Queens know their stuff so if you want to start a book club they've got a ton of advice on how to go about it. Motherhood can lead to a rapidly diminishing vocabulary so plenty of reading is a must!
Like book book. Nice book book.
Leah - Blogger has been leading me quite a dance too.
Ripples lives! At ankle level! I wanted to pick that poor little copy up and wave it under their noses and scream "This is MY book and if I ever catch you abusing it again I shall report you to SPOBB! (Society for the Prevention of Battered Books.)
Thanks Bag Lady. I'm pleased you enjoyed the story.
Penelope - Karen has joined my kind of Book Club!
Make it a short book and dictate it to Sadie.
That's great about The Book Club Queens! (And due to the neighborhoods in which I've lived, I have a hard time picturing Queens as females, but I'll trust you on that).
I'm glad Ripples is still out there and finding new fans--it was a great read.
Dawn, I am sure you will ace the interview.
Yay, Dawn -- congratulations on the upcoming review and interview! :)
And welcome back to the blogosphere -- I've missed you!
Crabby - Book Club Queen does tend to conjure up an image of a plum lipped, shaven back drag queen, but trust me, there's a really nice mother and daughter team behind the name!
Thanks Reb.
Hey! Nice catching up Thomma Lyn. I'll be over shortly.
I'm glad to hear about the reviews and interview! Congrats! For the record, I'd love to read Ripples on the Lake. I'd buy it now, but the shipping costs are just out of my league. If only it were available in the States...
Hi Dawn,
That is great news.
You must link the review when it's up. We all want to read it.
Terrie
Dawn, I hope you don't mind, but I tagged you.
